Oman Electricity Company (OETC) floated the Tender for Consultancy Services for Design and Supervision of 132/33kV Bedyah GS and Upgrading of Mudhairib GS to 400kV (later named Construction of 400/132kV Qabel GS). Both Projects, under one Consultancy Contract, were initiated by additional capacity request from regional Electricity Distribution Company (Mazoon Electricity Company) in Al Sharqyia region due to projection of power demand rise in the area. Project was initially divided into two sections: Construction of 132/33kV Bedyah Grid Station and Construction of 400/132kV Qabel Grid Station.
After EPC Contracts awarding, two ENTEL’s supervision teams handled Construction Supervision and Project Management of the projects with following completion dates:
- Construction of 132/33kV Bedyah GS – Construction completed in December 2018
- Construction of 400/132kV Qabel GS – Construction completion scheduled for March 2019
