The first Flue Gas Desulphurization Plant in Serbia, erected in TPP Kostolac B, enabled two power generation units, 348.5 MW each, to operate in line with environmental protection requirements. Units are equipped with wet flue gas desulphurization system, using limestone slurry as a scrubbing agent and generating gypsum as a by-product of desulphurization process. The FGD plant was erected under the technical supervision of Energoprojekt ENTEL.
