Consultancy Services for Al Ansab 1&4, Darsait and Ruwi Wastewater Project, Oman

Design and construction supervision of wastewater networks within the capital area of Muscat City. The whole project is divided into the three portions.

  • Portion I - Design and construction of sewerage and treated effluent networks for seafront development project. Project scope includes connection of new Seeb international airport, The Wave residential area and Clubs located within the coastal area. Total length of sewerage and treated effluent networks is approx 10 km each.
  • Portion II - Design and construction of sewerage network for Wadi Kabir, Hamriya, Aynt, Watayah, Wadi Adayi and Darsait sub-catchments. Sewerage system for Portion II consists of gravity sewerage network total length of approx 50 km (main network), 200 km of secondary network (house connections) and two sewer pumping stations. Pipe material: uPVC and HDPE from 150 mm up to 1200 mm diameter. Total 4,000 buildings/plots will be connected.
  • Portion III - Rehabilitation and upgrading of the existing sewerage network in Ruwi sub-catchment. Scope includes CCTV survey of the existing sewerage network, flow monitoring, preparation of hydraulic model of the existing sewerage network, preparation of structural assessment reports based on WRc Manual with recommendation for rehabilitation works. Rehabilitation and upgrading of the existing sewerage network in Ruwi sub-catchment includes construction of new network (11 km) and house connections (300 nos.), renovation works (CIPP lining by GRP UV light liner 13 km), renewal of pipelines (1.5) and replacement of the existing network (7 km), decommissioning of the existing network (5 km), cleaning of pipelines (19 km), inspection, CCTV survey of the existing pipeline (38 km), rehabilitation of the existing manholes (2300 nos.). Total length of existing sewerage network is 75 km.

The services provided also included supervision of sewerage treatment plant construction works - 1x2500 m3/day MBR system at MSQ and 3x2500 m3/day at Shattie Al Qurum.
