Construction supervision for water distribution projects in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate (Nizwa, Bakhla Wilayat, Al Massarat Water Distribution System), Oman

The objectives of the project are to provide construction supervision services for the water supply projects carried out by the PAEW within the project areas of Al Dakhiliyah Region. For each of the towns, the Client prepared design and tender documentation for construction of water distribution systems, which included pipeline networks, reservoirs, pumping stations, water quality monitoring, SCADA, electro-chlorination plants and construction of PAEW head office for Dakhiliyah governorate.

Components of the consultancy services during construction supervision can be summarized as follows: Supervise and manage the construction of all work; provide appropriately qualified Construction Supervision Staff experienced in similar projects; prepare any further plans, design and drawings necessary to carry out the works; establish quality control criteria and procedures to monitor standards, implement a construction management system for the works; review and approve manufacturer’s drawings; inspection and testing during manufacture; issue all certificates to the Client for interim and final payment; reporting; assist in commissioning and performance evaluation of completed works; approval of As-built Drawings / GIS; assist settling disputes.

After the contract was awarded in each of the towns, supervision teams were deployed and performed works as per above description.
