In order to provide reliable supply of instrument air for the safe operation of NGL plants during emergency and non-availability of other Instrument Air Compressors, Qatar Petroleum carried out the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) for diesel engine driven IAC package replacement. Project scope included, among other services, preparation of environmental documentation according to QP Guidelines and Qatar regulations. Documents included project activities’ review and identification of potential negative impacts on environment during construction and operation phase. Depending on the estimated impact, necessary control measures were defined in order to prevent, mitigate or eliminate pollutant emission. In addition, an ENVID Workshop was prepared and executed for QP team members, followed by preparation of Environmental Risk Register.
