Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) the power and potable water off-taker of State of Qatar, has entered into a Water Purchase Agreement (WPA) with Qatar Electricity & Water Company (QEWC) for the development of SWRO desalination plant in Ras Abu Fontas in Qatar with approximate 36 MIGD water capacity, on a build, own and operate basis with a 25 year operation period. New SWRO desalination plant, RAF A3, has been contracted in order to meet water forecast development in the State of Qatar.
