The project, focused on the upgrade of Izki grid station and associated transmission line, included the following:
- Construction of new 220 kV OH line from Sur GS to Izki GS to evacuate power from new Sur Power Plant;
- Upgrading of existing 132/33 kV Izki grid station to 220/132/33 kV by adding 220 kV GIS and two 500 MVA, 220/132 kV transformers and extension of 132 kV switchyard.
