Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) who owns and operates a large power network in Dubai, constructed a new 400/132kV Substation in Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Solar Park area aimed for connection of the new solar generating plants in Solar Park complex that will be designed, built and operated by IPP.
The project included construciton of new 400/132kV MBRSOLAR Substation, modification in the existing remote end 400/132kV Substations and connecting 400kV OHL Line-In-Line-Out (LILO).
MBRSOLAR 400/132kV Substation consists of 14 nos 400kV GIS bays, 4 nos Interbus-transformers (ICTs) 400/132kV, 505MVA, 30 nos 132kV GIS Bays, 4 nos of Shunt reactors 132kV, 30MVA, with tariff metering for IPP Solar Park generating plants at both 400kV and 132kV level, 400kV OHL connections includes 5.6 km OH lines (1.4km per each of two double circuits route) as line-in-line-out (LILO) connection to the existing 400kV OHLs.
The scope of Consultancy Services included preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation, project management and monitoring, attendance of factory acceptance tests for equipment, site supervision and warranty services.
