EPIC for Upgrade of Port Control Tower and Systems at RLIC, Qatar

Ras Laffan Port is located in the Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), in the north of Qatar. The Port provides loading facilities for the export of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and associated functions. The RLC Port facilities include LNG berths, other cargo berths and dry docks. The existing Port Control Tower (PCT) was designed and built in 1997 for Ras Laffan Port operations. PCT is equipped with Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) system which covers the port and anchorage areas. The expansion of the port has led to operability constraints in the function of the PCT.

The objective of this project is to provide a fully functional refurbished PCT and related systems that meet the operational requirements of QP Ras Laffan Port Operations. Energoprojekt ENTEL is in charge of developing detailed design documentation for the upgrade of PCT and related control systems and facilities in RLIC, including the replacement of two radars, replacement of telecommunication equipment for VTS and NON-VTS systems, and connection of these systems to existing QP converged IP network.
