The Project scope addresses construction of water distribution network for Samail Town, with population of approximately 40,000. This also includes design of water supply system to Wadi Mahram, Sayma and other settlements which belong to Wilayats of Izki and Samail, with population of approximately 9,000.
Water distribution network for Samail Town consists of pipelines diameter from 100 mm up to 400 mm. Approximate length of distribution network is 16 km.
There are four tanker filling stations (TFS) in the project area.
Samail Water Distribution (SWD) SCADA system will enable control and monitoring of all required parameters from the new break tank/service reservoir/pump station as flow, levels, concentration of residual chlorine, motorized valves status, pump operation, etc.
Water supply system for Wadi Maharam and Sayma consists of three pump stations, three break tanks, two tanker filling stations and five ground service reservoirs volume from 300 to 6,000 m3. Transmission pipeline will be made of DI pipes dia up to 300 mm length of 55 km while distribution network will be constructed of HDPE pipes dia up to 250 mm length of 60 km.
Since design horizon for the project is set to 2030, population forecast trends were taken for 2030. Average water demand for year 2030 is estimated at 190 l/c/d.
