In order to provide forecasted electricity demand, PE Electric Power Industry of Serbia is expanding power generation capacity of TPP Kostolac B, by building a new, modern Unit with installed capacity of 350 MW. Tnew unit shall be of modern design, based on utilization of ultra supercritical technology (with 254 bar, 571oC steam), high efficiency and implementation of all necessary environmental protection measures. Operation of TPP Kostolac B3 shall meet emission limit values set by national and European regulation for new large combustion plants.
EIA Study has analyzed all positive and negative environmental impacts expected during both construction and operation phase and has defined technical and organizational measures to be conducted in order to prevent or reduce negative impact on the environment and human health.
