Units 3-6 (4x350 MW), Serbia

In order to facilitate continuous production and operation in line with Serbian, as well as EU environmental regulations, TPP Nikola Tesla A, units 3-6 (4x350 MW) must be fitted with flue gas desulphurization system. The wet flue gas desulphurization technology is planned to be used, with limestone slurry as a scrubbing agent and gypsum as a by-product of desulphurization process.

EIA Study has analyzed all positive and negative environmental impacts expected during both construction and operation phase and has defined technical and organizational measures to be conducted in order to prevent or reduce negative impact on the environment and human health. All aspects addressed contributed to the conclusion that implementation of this project was to considerably improve air quality in the area impacted by TPP Kostolac B operation.
