Scope of works:

Detail electrical design of the three S/S, including 132 kV and 33 kV switchyards, power transformers, S/S auxiliary consumption, outdoor lighting, S/S earthing and building services.

Detail electrical design of the132 kV Overhead Line and 132 kV Underground cable.

Detail civil design of the three S/S including: S/S building, fire fighting building, guard house, diesel building, internal roads, boundary walls, switchgear (Gantry foundations, equipment foundations, lighting foundations, transformer foundations as well as underground utilities).

Detail civil design of 132 kV Overhead Line, 132 kV cable Compound, 132 kV Underground cable, with all underground utilities (joint bays, drown pits) and supporting bridges.

Substation 330/132kV Katampe

  • Substation: total area 47.282 m2
  • Control Building: one story building with total gross floor area 360 m2.
  • Building facilities: 330 kV Switchgear room, Control room, Communication rooms, Battery room, Office, Store, Sanitary facilities and Passage.
  • Switchyard – 330kV and 132kV

Substation 132/33kV Katampe
  • Substation: total area 22.750 m2
  • Control Building: one story building with total gross floor area 340 m2.
  • Building facilities: Control room, Communication rooms, Battery room, Office, Store, Sanitary facilities and Passage.
  • Switchyard –132kV and 33kV

Substation Central Area 132/33 kV (GIS)
  • Substation: total area 2970 m2
  • Control Building: one story building with total gross floor area 592 m2.
  • Building facilities: Control room, Communication rooms, Battery room, Office, Store, Sanitary facilities and Passage.
  • Switchgear Building: ground floor level and 360.00 m2 at basement floor level.
  • Building facilities: 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear, 33kV Metal Clad Switchgear and 132/33kV Basement.
  • Switchyard –33kV

132 kV Connection Katampe-Central Area

OHL connecting
The line route is parallel and on the distance of 25 m with existing 132kV Double Circuit OHL Suleja – Garki.

2x132kV Cable line is built to establish power connection between the new 132kV Cable Compound and 132kV SF6 GIS inside the 132/33kV Central Area S/S. In this part Power Cables 132kV and Fibre Optic Cable are laid together in same trench.
